The Desmond House, located in the middle of Redding, overlooks the Sacramento River. Guests can walk to the river trails, parks, restaurants, the Turtle Bay Exploration Park, Sundial Bridge and McConnell Arboretum. Whiskeytown and Shasta lakes are only minutes away. A continental breakfast is served. Reservations are recommended, and a 48-hour cancellation policy is appreciated.
Guests take a step back in time when staying the Desmond House. Built in 1905, it features the Queen Ann style of architecture. The home is furnished with an eclectic blend of antiques and period lighting that create a warm and inviting atmosphere suitable for any romantic getaway.
As I open my home to travelers venturing away from their own homes and comfortable surroundings, my hope is that they will find comfort, peace and solitude while staying at The Desmond House. It has been all of that and more to me on my personal journey to create this beautiful space.
